About
Engineer first, researcher by training
I started in research — teaching machines to read intent out of brain signals for my graduation project, which became an IEEE ICICIS 2023 paper that beat the published state of the art on its dataset. That work taught me the part most people skip: a model is worthless until someone can actually use it.
So I went the other direction too. Today I engineer production Django ERP systems for jewelry and gemstone businesses — inventory, invoicing, automated label printing — and I extended that ecosystem with an Android stocktaking app driven by barcode and RFID scanning. Before that, three years of freelance AI delivery taught me how to scope a problem with a client, ship it behind a FastAPI or Streamlit interface, and support it afterwards.
What I’m building toward is the intersection: AI systems that survive contact with production. Computer vision, NLP and signal processing on the modeling side; Docker, CI/CD, MLflow and Airflow on the delivery side.
